To prepare the mango peppers for stuffing, cut off the tops and remove the seeds. Let stand in salt water until required. Then prepare plenty of rice according to No. 52. Keep in a warm place until required.

Fry Hamburg steak with onion and curry powder according to No. 9. A pound of steak will be plenty for a nice big dish of peppers. Use no water in this mince, but when the meat and onions are partially fried add a cupful of the boiled rice, and mix all together. Stuff the peppers with this mixture of rice and meat.

Put in a roaster and cover with tomato sauce. This sauce may be made from any tinned tomato soup, diluted and more highly seasoned, or it may be made from stewed tomatoes from which the seeds and skins[28] have been removed. Make sauce a little thick. Bake very slowly or steam. Serve with the remainder of the rice.

This is such a hearty dish that one needs prepare nothing else to be served with it.

  • 1⁄3 cup pearl tapioca
  • 3⁄4 cup water
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1⁄2 cup sugar
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon vanilla

Soak the tapioca in the water for one hour. Add the milk, sugar, butter, and salt. Set the pan in a cooker-pail of boiling water. When the milk is scalding remove the pan and let the pudding come to a boil. Replace it in the boiling water and put it into the cooker for one and one-half hours. Take it from the cooker, add the beaten eggs, replace it in the pail of hot water and stir it over the fire till it registers 165 degrees Fahrenheit, using a dairy or chemis[164]t’s thermometer. Put it again into the cooker for one hour. When cold, add the vanilla.

Rice may be used instead of tapioca.

Serves six or eight persons.

Dear creator,

Thank you so much for creating a fanwork for me! I'm sure I will love it anyways, but here are some details about what I like/dislike, in case you like to do your research.

First off, I would rather receive a work that the creator was enthusiastic about than one that fulfilled every detail of my request. Prompts can be altered, combined, twisted, and bent as you see fit.

I am happy to receive a story of any rating and non-explicit art. I also welcome treats. I love fanwork in canon setting, a missing moment,m canon divergent AU, story set in the past or future of canon.

For romance, I love first time, established relationship, as well as a work that a couple goes on adventure/solve problems/enjoys themselves together.

Recently I'm need of writing inspiration, so I'm playing solo tabletop RPG. Both are very good (and free).

80 Year Old Spy (Free) is a journalling tabletop RPG that you experience the career of a spy, navigating through a web of secrets and betrayals. It has a similar mechanic to "Thousand Year Old Vampire", in which you follow prompts to write a journal about a vampire. The vibe is very John le Carre, which your first decision has to do with betrayal and cost of missions. It is more fast paced than the Thousand Year Old Vampire, as it's easier for you to lose everything in that game. My character gets betrayed, loses everything (including their principle) and crashes and burns in recorded time.

Help! I Have a Crush on My Rival?! (Free): It's a journalling TRPG about the developing relationship between your character and their rival/crush. It's based on the Carta system, but choose to use cards to explore the metaphorical ups and downs of a relationship between two people. It's very flexible to decide on what the world and the characters are like. I set my game in a Roadside Picnic inspired setting, in which my MC and the rival are forced to work together to survive in the quarantined zone together. It's really fun.

Under Plum Lake by Lionel Davidson

Summary: "A young boy Barry is ushered into a subterranean world where he encounters a civilization and kingdom unlike anything above ground."

This reminds me of a sci-fi retelling of a fairy abduction story. The plot is simple: Barry meets an alien boy Did, and explores an advanced underwater alien civilization Egon. The description of Egon is fun and gorgeous but also unsettling and dangerous. Barry nears dies when Dido shows him around carelessly. I like how dark and compelling Dido's dynamic with Barry is. At first he thinks of Barry like a dog and taking him to increasingly dangerous activities, and Barry is aware of that. But his feeling changes when Barry nearly dies. The ending is full of yearning as Barry has to return to his own world (and still messed up about that.) I really enjoy it.

  • 1 T-butter
  • 2 T-lard
  • 2 C-sifted flour
  • ¾ C-milk
  • 1/3 t-salt
  • 4 t-baking powder
  • 1 qt. strawberries
  • 2/3 C-sugar

Cut the fat into the flour, salt and baking powder until the consistency of cornmeal. Gradually add the milk, using a knife to mix. Do not handle any more than absolutely necessary. Toss the dough upon a floured board or a piece of clean brown paper. Pat into the desired shape, and place in a pan. Bake in a hot oven for 12 to 15 minutes. Split, spread with butter, and place strawberries, crushed and sweetened, between and on top. Serve with cream.

Fry one-half pound of meat, finely diced, with onion and curry powder. Add a little water from time to time, so that the meat will be tender and the onions soft. Then add two teacupfuls of water. As soon as water boils add a cupful of sliced radishes, potatoes, carrots, or any vegetables that will not mash. Cook slowly together until vegetables are soft. In India this curry is always acidulated, but that is not necessary. It is a good plan, however, to always serve sliced lemon with all curries, as some prefer them sour.

Chop 1/2 cup of suet. Mix with 1/2 loaf of stale bread that has been soaked and pressed dry. Add 1 cup of chopped apples, 1 cup of sugar, 1/2 cup of chopped raisins and nuts. Serve hot with wine sauce.

If you find the itch.io search function lackluster, you can check out the content of Amor per Valencia / Love for Valencia, and TTRPGs for Trans Rights - Ohio bundles on Random Bundle Browser with a much better interface.

Reincarnated as the Unlovable Villainess?! is a free solo journaling game that uses a six-faced dice and a 20-faced dice. The player character (PC) reincarnated into a fantasy otome game they love. Unfortunately, they are not the beautiful and lovely Protagonist Penelope. Rather, they are her romantic rival, the arrogant, petty, and unlovable villainess who is rude to Penelope whenever, wherever. What’s worse is that they are doomed to be killed or imprisoned in every single route. The PC's goal is to avoid the bad endings, while possibly winning the love interest (LI) as they please and more. There are random tables for you to roll the potential LI, bad endings, scenario prompts and plot twists, etc.

The ticking clock really increases the tension of the game. Advancing relationship with LI can grant you one time bonus, but failure in scenario can set relationship back and even introducing major plot twist (eg: the heroine now knows that she's just a character). You have to consider the risk and reward, which really put you in the mood of the reincarnated villainess. I also like that I can be a really evil villainess and kind of deserve the bad endings. For people who like the reincarnated villainess genre and/or journalling games with a twist, it's a fun game to try.

This is a very delicious dish, and is often served as an entrée at first-class dinners.

They are made from what are known as cup mushrooms. It is best to pick mushrooms, as far as possible, the same size, the cup being about two inches in diameter. Peel the mushrooms very carefully, without breaking them, cut out the stalks close down with a spoon, scoop out the inside of the cup, so as to make it hollow. Now peel the stalks and chop them up with all the scooped part of the mushroom, with, supposing we are making ten cups, a piece of onion as big as the top of the thumb down to the first joint. To this add a brimming teaspoonful of chopped parsley, or even a little more, a saltspoonful of dried thyme, or half this quantity of fresh thyme. Fry all this in a frying-pan, in a little butter. The aroma is delicious.

Then add sufficient dried bread-crumbs that have been rubbed through a wire sieve to make the whole into a moist paste, fill each of the cups with this mixture so that the top is as convex as the cup of the mushroom, having first seasoned the mixture with a little pepper, salt, and lemon-juice. Shake some fine bread-raspings over the top so as to make them of a nice golden-brown colour, pour a little drop of oil into a baking-tin, place the mushrooms in it, and bake them gently in an oven till the cup part of the mushroom becomes soft and tender, but take care they do not cook till they break. Now take them out carefully with an egg-slice, and place them on a dish—a silver dish is best for the purpose-and place some nice, crisp, fried parsley round the edge.
