Recently, I have picked up podcasts again as something to listen to in the background. I love sf&f, comedy and horror. I prefer the episodes to be short (<1 hour). I'm really intimidated by catching up with massive backlog, so I have given up on the Hidden Almanac. I prefer self-contained episodes or podcasts no longer than a season. My hearing isn't very good, so transcripts and good sound quality are preferred.

Podcasts I have listened to:

The Silt Verses: The Premise: Two followers of an outlawed god travel rural lands in an attempt to find miracles and workings of their god. It exists in a world where consumerism and religion have melded, and where belief begets existence in many ways, whether you want it to or not.

 Recently finished:

I have finished the transcript of Silt Verses. It's set in a dark brutal world that new  gods are made by corporate and governments and regulated. People deemed useless were used as sacrifice. Old forgotten gods roamed the countryside. No one got what they at first wanted. I really like the mythology, the dramatic irony and the psychological horror. There are a lot of body horror, but I guess reading text lessens the effect on me. I will be interested if there is a new season.

Currently reading: "It can't happen here". I haven't read much yet, but people never changed through the decades.
